Last night on the 20th of July, Central Coast Day Hospital hosted its annual Jul-EYE education seminar to great success. Coinciding with RANZCO’s Jul-EYE Awareness Month, the event invited GPs across the Central Coast for an evening of learning the latest developments in the field of Ophthalmology. A total of 17 GPs attended the event, along with 6 presenters and 5 staff members for a total of 28 attendees.
GPs were treated to a 3 course dinner provided at the Crowne Plaza, Terrigal. During their meal, Ophthalmologists from Central Coast Day Hospital provided education presentations on topics including: glaucoma medications, paediatric eyechecks, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, intraocular lenses and ocular injuries.
Attendees were enthusiastic about the event, with everyone giving glowing feedback for the interesting presentations and educational content. Attendees were left with a great deal of knowledge about both the hospital and the future of Ophthalmic surgery.
