Patients who choose to have their treatment at Presmed Group (PMA) of Day Hospitals can now submit their pre-admission information conveniently online.
This user-friendly online system minimises the paperwork that needs to be completed before receiving hospital treatment. All patient information is encrypted and secured by 128-bit SSL encryption technology, the same used for internet banking.
“Our patients love the ability to do it from home and we care about making processes more convenient for the patient. Patients can now book their procedure and provide most of the information needed via our websites in under 20 minutes. While we will still need their signature on some documents when they arrive, this new process will ensure their admission goes as smoothly as possible,” says Roger Cronin, CEO, PMA.
Patients can save their information on the portal so they don’t have to complete all the questions in one sitting. “We realise patients’ lives are very busy, so they can start and stop and the system will hold where they are in the process of registration,” says Mr. Cronin. “All information they previously entered is there for them, and they can reuse information for future procedures. This feature is extremely useful for repeat patients.”
The new online pre-admission service is available at Chatswood Private Hospital, Epping Surgery Centre and Central Coast Day Hospital. Patients are required to submit a hard copy of their doctor’s referral form and provide written consent to treatment.
